Detailed Itinerary

DAY 1
This experience invites you to enjoy a slow and relaxed morning or afternoon in the historic city of Cusco. You’ll have free time to explore the city, browse local shops, and enjoy a pleasant lunch on your own. Later, we begin a guided walking tour through Cusco’s most emblematic sites. We visit the impressive Cusco Cathedral, a masterpiece of colonial art and history. Our journey continues to Qoricancha, the legendary Temple of the Sun, once the most important sacred site of the Inca Empire. We take time to walk through the iconic Plaza de Armas, the heart of the city where locals and visitors gather. Along the way, we admire the blend of Inca foundations and colonial architecture that define Cusco’s unique character. After the tour, we return to your hotel or continue on to your next activity, carrying a deeper connection to the city.

DAY 2
This unforgettable route begins in the mountains of Cusco and leads to the archaeological site of Huchuycosco, in the Sacred Valley of the Incas. After a short drive, we start our hike from a small local community, accompanied by cargo llamas and friendly muleteers. The trail offers breathtaking views of the Cordillera Urubamba and traditional agricultural terraces. We walk along an original Inca Trail that winds through a biodiverse ravine. Along the way, we encounter ancient water channels, stone stairways, and wooden bridges. Upon arrival at Huchuycosco, we explore the citadel and enjoy a delicious picnic lunch. We then descend toward the Vilcanota River and the village of Lamay. The experience concludes with a return to your hotel or the next destination. This activity supports local employment and helps reintroduce llamas into the Andean ecosystem.

DAY 3
Piuray Outdoor Center is an outdoor activity hub on the shores of Lake Piuray, just 45 minutes from Cusco, where nature and adventure meet in the heart of the Andes. Enjoy a variety of water experiences such as Stand Up Paddleboarding (SUP), kayaking, and SUP yoga against stunning mountain views. All activities are designed to be low-impact and family-friendly, using quality equipment and expert guides. It’s an ideal stop for travelers seeking nature immersion, outdoor adventure, and meaningful cultural exchange near the Sacred Valley.

DAY 4
We will pick you up from your hotel and transfer you to Ollantaytambo Station to board the train to Km 104, the starting point of the one-day Inca Trail hike. From here, you will begin an uphill walk through the lush cloud forest, following ancient Inca paths. Along the way, you will visit the impressive archaeological site of Wiñay Wayna. The trail then continues along beautifully preserved stone pathways toward Machu Picchu. Enter the citadel through the iconic Sun Gate, a magical moment ideal for unforgettable photos. After the visit, take a bus down to Machu Picchu town and enjoy a relaxing overnight stay at a Machu Picchu Pueblo Hotel.

DAY 5
