An essential part of this project is our house located in the main plaza of Lamay in the Sacred Valley of the Incas. We run a store with local & natural products, combined with a charming cafe-bar with healthy and tasty food. Here we interact with the local people and organice art & culture, music & culinary workshops and activities.

About Lamay

Lamay is a small village located in the province of Calca, in the Sacred Valley of the Incas, Cusco. Its Population is around 6000 people, of which 50% live in the village and the rest in the communities up in the mountains. Lamay Main activity is Traditional farming of native products such as potatoes, corn, quinoa, tarwi, and beans among others. Other Traditional activities are brewing Chicha de Jora (corn beer), breeding guinea pigs (for consumption and for sale), baking bread. Most of the women in the communities are Traditional weavers.

Lamay Anniversary - January 3rd
Santiago Apóstol - July 28th
Santa Rosa de Lima (patron saint of Lamay)  - August 31st


The Typical dances:
Capaq Coya, Majeños, Mestiza Qoyacha, Capac Negro among other groups that brighten up the party with their colorful costumes and traditional dances.
