The Peruvian Pachamanca is a traditional way of preparing food by cooking it underground with hot stones. It has a deep connection with Pachamama (Mother Earth), using some local ingredients and others adapted to the Sacred Valley, such as tubers, fruits, vegetables, as well as meats and fish, depending on the preferences of guests.
We offer a gourmet Pachamanca option in Erapampa, a beautiful organic vegetable garden very close to the village of Lamay. We recommend a morning activity before heading up to participate in the entire process of preparing traditional food and drinks from Peru and the Andes.
